
LWVMA Town Hall Series to Highlight How the MA Legislature Works

LWVMA invites everyone to Part 1 of its March Town Hall Series, How the MA Legislature Works, featuring State Senator Liz Miranda on Tuesday, March 21 at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom.
Prior to her election to the Senate representing the Second Suffolk district, Senator Miranda served two terms in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. She will offer participants her unique legislative perspective having served in both chambers.

Senator Miranda is the Chair of the Joint Committee on Racial Equity, Civil Rights and Inclusion, and Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies, and sits on several more Senate committees. LWVMA specialists work with Senator Miranda on her policy priorities of Black maternal health, environmental justice, and reform of the criminal legal system.
