The League of Women Voters of Westford is hosting Anita Tonakarn-Nguyen at the group’s next Civic Social on Thursday, February 26. Tonakarn-Nguyen serves as State Representative James Arciero’s Staff Director for both his office and the Joint Committee on Transportation, for which Rep. Arciero is House Chair. 

Come to the Civic Social to get an insider’s take on what really happens at the State House, what a Staff Director does, and how it all impacts Westford. The in-person Civic Social will be held at WestfordCAT, 487 Groton Road, at 7:30 p.m. 

Tonakarn-Nguyen joined Rep. Arciero’s office as District Director and Researcher in 2022. In her job as Staff Director, she oversees daily operations and staff management while serving as the primary liaison to government officials, agency leaders, and advocacy groups. She provides strategic counsel to Rep. Arciero on legislative initiatives, budget priorities, communications, and district-related issues.
