Remember to Vote in the Presidential Primary, March 6

On March 6, residents of Westford will be able to vote in the Presidential Primary election. Massachusetts holds a modified closed primary. If you are a registered member of a party, you can only vote in that party’s primary. If you are an unenrolled voter, you are not associated with any political party and can request any ballot in the primary. This year, three ballots are available, for the Democratic Party, the Republican Party, and the Green-Rainbow party. On each ballot, you will be asked to vote for a candidate for President of the United States. You will also be asked to vote for State Committee Man, State Committee Woman, and members of the Town Committee. This year, there are 9 people running for the Democrat Town Committee, and 19 people running for the Republic Town Committee. You may vote for the entire committee slate by using the single “Group” ballot choice. Although you may only vote for one State Committee Man and Woman, only the Republican State Committee Woman race is contested. Write-ins are available for all offices. The polls will be open from from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
