Join us this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at this month’s Civic Social for a discussion of Westford’s Roadmap to Net Zero carbon emissions. At Special Town Meeting in October of 2020, Town Meeting committed to adopting clean energy and reducing fossil fuel use, and it directed the development of a strategy for achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The initial draft of that strategy has now been created by the Clean Energy and Sustainability Committee. This month’s virtual Civic Social will discuss the roadmap and its implications for Westford with Erika Kohl, a member of the League and the Clean Energy Committee. Since the Roadmap will be an evolving document, this is also our chance to provide feedback and thoughts on how to improve the roadmap in future revisions.
