Please mark Feb 26 (rain ate Feb 27) on your calendars for this event.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COVID-19 concerns have once again made the task of gathering 50 signatures for nomination papers challenging for our local candidates. The League is therefore holding this event to provide prospective candidates in Westford the ability to collect the 50 signatures required for becoming formal candidates in a safe, socially distant way. Please note that these signatures simply allow the candidate to get on the May ballot, and signing the nomination papers in no way obligates any voter to support any given candidate. All candidates are able to join in the event, and the League provides no preferential support to any candidate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are once again asking citizens to drive through the parking lot at Abbot School in order to sign nomination papers for our local candidates from the safety of their own cars.
