The League will support the existence of an active Historic District Study Committee. 

We believe that evaluations and documentations of our historic sites and buildings by a qualified committee, appointed by the Selectmen, is the first step toward preserving our visible links with Westford’s history.

The League will support the concept of an Historic District(s) for Westford.  The primary consideration is the preservation of the historic and architectural character of the areas.  There should be a balance between the needs and feelings of the residents of the district and regulations which restrict personal preference.
