DESCRIPTION:The Secretary of the Commonwealth’s “Information for Voters” guide — commonly known as the Red Book — has likely arrived in residents’ mailboxes. This year’s edition has 87 pages of explanation: it covers the nine binding statewide questions on the Nov. 3rd ballot\, tied for the most questions Massachusetts voters have ever been asked to consider in a single election. \n\n\n\nAs the letter of introduction says\, the book “contains information on all nine questions\, including a summary of each proposal\, the full text of the proposed/existing law\, statements describing the effect of a yes or no vote\, and brief arguments for and against each question.” It is also available online. \n\n\n\nJoin the Westford League at our Civic Social on Thursday\, Sept. 24\, at 7:30 p.m. at the Roudenbush Community Center\, 65 Main Street\, for an informal discussion of the ballot questions. Come learn with us\, ask questions\, and talk through the answers. \n\n\n\nNo registration is required. Civic Socials are free\, informal in-person gatherings open to all. They are not recorded.
